Finding Network Information

Sometimes East Carolina Computers may ask you for basic network information while troubleshooting a connection problem.
Find Network Information Using Command Prompt
- Press Windows key + R.
- Type cmd.
- Press Enter.
- Type ipconfig.
- Press Enter.
Information ECC May Ask For
- IPv4 Address
- Default Gateway
- DNS Servers
Wi-Fi Connection
Go to Start → Settings → Network & Internet → Wi-Fi to view information about your wireless connection.
Ethernet Connection
Go to Start → Settings → Network & Internet → Ethernet to view information about your wired connection.
