Frequently Asked Question
Try to keep a reasonable amount of free space available on your system drive so Windows has room to operate properly.
Why Free Space Matters
When a drive becomes nearly full, Windows may have less room for temporary files, updates, virtual memory, and other system operations. This can lead to slower performance and failed updates.
Keeping at least this much of the system drive free is a good general target when possible.
If your drive is constantly running low on space, East Carolina Computers can help identify unnecessary files, move data, or upgrade the drive if needed.
